Twitch bans streamers for simulated earlicking ASMR in yoga pants

Twitch created a new category for Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches a month ago in response to the growing popularity of hot tub streams. Since then, another Twitch craze has taken off: streamers imitating the sound of ear licking while wearing yoga pants using ASMR microphones.

Twitch's ASMR channel is flooded with this strangely specialized trend, and two of the most popular broadcasters, Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa and Jenelle "Indiefoxx" Dagres, have been banned.

Amouranth was at the center of the hot-tub streaming issue when Twitch demonetized her streams because they were "not advertising friendly," despite the fact that they followed Twitch's content restrictions.
